Why Narine Tukhikyan Was Dismissed from Her Position

Yesterday, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Narine Tukhikyan was unexpectedly dismissed from her position. According to our sources within the ministry, this came after a heated conversation with her superior.

The issue arose the previous day at an exhibition organized by the Artists' Union of Armenia, where Tukhikyan was involved in an incident. A woman called the deputy minister and her team traitors, to which Tukhikyan merely smiled quietly. It turns out that the incident and the deputy minister's behavior did not sit well with the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vahram Dumanyan, and according to some reports, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan as well. The minister criticized the deputy minister for 'swallowing' the remarks made by the citizen and admonished her for not showing the accusers their place.

After the conversation, Tukhikyan submitted her resignation. According to our information, the superior has threatened all officials who continue to stay in hiding and do not respond to accusations directed at their team. They were promised severe punishment. "My Step" representatives, Hayk Sarksyan and Hakob Simidyan, have specifically warned some members of parliament.

This was reported by the Hraparak newspaper.
