Vladimir Putin's Security Chief to Assume Higher Position
The Director of the Federal Protective Service of Russia, Dmitry Kochnev, is set to leave his position. This is reported by Russian media. It is noted that he has already submitted his resignation.
Oleg Klimentyev, the first deputy, will be appointed as the acting director temporarily.
The personnel changes are due to Kochnev’s transfer to the FSB (Federal Security Service).
Sources indicate that the new director of the Federal Protective Service will be the Deputy Director of the service, Alexey Rubezhnoi, who is also the head of the Presidential Security Service at the age of 56. Alexey Rubezhnoi is a cadre of Russia's FSB
