Enemy Likely Plans to Cut Armenia from Iran: Hayk Martirosyan

Political scientist Hayk Martirosyan wrote on his Facebook page: “Khoda Afrin, or as Azerbaijanis and Armenians refer to it, the Khodafarin reservoir, is quite a large body of water, through the center of which runs the border of the Armenian-Iranian section.

Most likely, the enemy has planned to cut Armenia off from Iran. This section is vital for both Armenia and Iran. If they succeed here, the enemy’s next target will likely be Meghri. Iran understands that if Azerbaijan succeeds in this direction, it will open a new front against Iran in the event of a possible upcoming war. For its part, Russia considers this area as a guarantee for strengthening the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem, which cannot be beneficial for it. And if Armenia fails there, it will lose a section of its state border that is crucial for its survival.

That is precisely why the enemy will not succeed. The price of this section is extremely high for all interested parties, and that means that no one will concede it to the enemy.”
