Arsen Julfalakyan's Resignation is a Surprise, the Faction Discusses the Issue: MP
We have gathered before the four-day session to discuss our approaches to the issues on the agenda, as well as various political matters. This was stated by MP Arthur Hovhannisyan from the 'My Step' faction during a press briefing with journalists.
It should be noted that the 'My Step' faction is currently holding a session.
In response to the question of whether the issue of Arsen Julfalakyan's resignation will be a topic of discussion, the MP said, 'I believe yes, because you have heard that Arsen Julfalakyan's resignation was a surprise for the faction, and I think it is logical that surprises will be discussed in the faction meeting,' said Arthur Hovhannisyan.
Regarding the participation of National Assembly President Ararat Mirzoyan in the meeting, Arthur Hovhannisyan noted that Mirzoyan tries to be present at the faction meetings according to his schedule. 'I believe that today will also not be an exception ahead of the plenary session. I assume Mr. Mirzoyan will be present,' said the MP.
Commenting on the statement from the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction that they are initiating a process of no confidence, the MP remarked that it is 'the right of Enlightened Armenia.' 'Let them initiate; let's see what they propose. As for the political course led by Arayik Harutyunyan, I want to note that it is not only Mr. Harutyunyan's policy; it is the policy of the 'My Step' political team, most of which you all became acquainted with during the election period. All the various comments, interpretations, proposals, and grievances expressed from different sides are all debatable,' said the MP.
Regarding the observation that Arsen Julfalakyan has considered the political climate a failure, Arthur Hovhannisyan stated, 'I consider such a comment from Arsen Julfalakyan unfortunate. I regret that such a statement has been made. I do not agree with that comment at all. There are MPs in the 'My Step' faction who may disagree with certain decisions, have additions or other proposals, but that does not mean the sector is failed. It means we are in a healthy environment where representatives of the legislative body can disagree with certain decisions of the executive body,' the MP emphasized.
