It’s a Complete Dirty Lie and Slander: Ani Samsonyan on 'Lydian Armenia's' Statement

Recently, 'Lydian Armenia' released a statement addressing the fight between the guardians of Amulsar and local citizens on duty, as well as the presence of ‘Bright Armenia’ party members in Amulsar yesterday. The company mentioned in its statement that the day before the scuffle, LHK members had visited the Amulsar area, talked to citizens, and published evidence supporting this.

'Lydian Armenia's' statement reads: 'It is unknown what promises the members of the illegal group received from the members of parliament, but that same night this group attacked. Some of the MPs have publicly encouraged illegality for two years, indirectly promising impunity to members of the criminal group. It is noteworthy that the group members attacked last night right after meeting with the MPs, threatening the residents in the area.'

Today, LHK member Ani Samsonyan questioned the legality of the 'Lydian' guards filming their 'meeting'.

Auroranews contacted Ani Samsonyan, an MP from the ‘Bright Armenia’ faction, who stated in our conversation that she regrets that 'Lydian Armenia', presenting itself as a legitimate company today, is acting provocatively.

'They secretly filmed our visits and published a headline that is a complete dirty lie and slander. They portrayed us as if we encouraged any violence and crime, but all of this speaks to the fact that ‘Lydian Armenia’ has no tools to defend itself,' said Samsonyan.

When asked about the purpose of this visit to the Amulsar area, Samsonyan stated: 'We had practical meetings in Jermuk. I believe every citizen, if they go to Jermuk, should stop and ask about the well-being of those boys. Every time we visit Jermuk, we meet with the defenders and inquire about their situation, discuss various topics, and continue on our way; this time was no exception.'

When asked if the faction would respond to 'Lydian Armenia's' statement, the MP expressed that discussions would occur within the faction if necessary, and if needed, they would demand the restoration of Lydian Armenia's dignity and good reputation.

It is noteworthy that earlier, activist Shirak Buniatyan, who is fighting against the Amulsar mine operation, published a video on his Facebook page, reporting that the guards serving in Amulsar had attacked citizens on duty and assaulted them.
