I Could Have Filed Lawsuits in Numerous Cases, But I Only Did So in This Instance: Grigoryan

Former Minister of Environment Erik Grigoryan has commented on the court's decision regarding the lawsuit he filed against the founder of "Jambo," Artur Vardanyan, on his Facebook page. The case pertains to receiving compensation for defamation and publicly refuting the information.

“Starting from the day after I took office as the Minister of Environment in 2018, numerous false and fabricated news began spreading through the media and various social networks. This continued for almost two years. It was obvious and predictable to me who was spreading those rumors and why,” he wrote.

“During those two years, I could have filed lawsuits in dozens of cases, but I only chose to do so in this instance, not because this case was more or less a fabrication, but to ensure that others feel responsible for their words as well. It would be wonderful if everyone, regardless of their position, job, status, or political views, were held accountable for their words,” he added.
