Ani Samsonyan Shows 'Nisiya' Thick Notebooks in Rural Shops

In July and August, I conducted inquiries about the sales movement of various products in different sales points both in Yerevan and in the regions. This was reported by Ani Samsonyan, a member of the 'Enlightened Armenia' parliamentary faction, on her Facebook page.

'There was not a single shop where the situation was satisfactory, and in rural shops, they were showing the thick notebooks of 'Nisiya'. Without precise economic analyses, one could form an overt opinion about the unsatisfactory social condition of the population. Today, during the Government session, the Prime Minister of Armenia stated that in August 2020, compared to August 2019, the turnover of cash registers decreased by 2.5 percent and added that the data indicate that there is no social collapse and crisis in Armenia.'

'I believe when conducting economic analyses in offices and counting the number of cash registers, it is necessary to examine the lists of 'Nisiya' notebooks. Only after that will you be able to say whether there can be a social crisis or not, or if there is one or not,' the MP wrote.
