Russian Su-27 Intercepts American Reconnaissance Aircraft Over Black Sea Airspace

A Russian Su-27 fighter jet took to the skies on Wednesday to intercept an American reconnaissance aircraft in the airspace over the Black Sea, according to iz.ru.

“The Su-27 was scrambled to identify the aerial target and prevent violations of the Russian state border. The aircraft's crew detected the RC-135 reconnaissance plane belonging to the U.S. Air Force, which was escorted while flying in the airspace over the Black Sea,” the Russian Defense Ministry stated.
