Court Allows Ara Babloyan to Travel Abroad for a Short Time
The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, led by Judge Harutyun Manukyan, granted the request of former National Assembly President Ara Babloyan's defense attorney, allowing Babloyan to leave the country.
The prosecutor did not object to the motion put forward by defender Aram Vardevanyan. Judge Harutyun Manukyan stated, "The court, considering Ara Babloyan's personality, his connection to the Republic of Armenia, his position, as well as the behavior he exhibited during both the preliminary investigation and court proceedings, and taking into account that the prosecutor had previously made a decision regarding the person's permission during the preliminary investigation, decided to grant the motion and permit Mr. Babloyan to travel to the specified location and return within the period indicated in the motion."
