Armenia Remains Regional Leader in COVID-19 Infection Rates per 1 Million People
Armenia continues to lead the region in COVID-19 infection rates per 1 million people, as well as in mortality rates from the virus. According to regularly updated data from worldometers.info, as of September 7, the COVID-19 infection rate for Armenia stands at 15,128 per 1 million population, with a mortality rate of 304.
The latest data on COVID-19 infection rates per 1 million people in the region is as follows:

It is important to note that on September 7, Armenia recorded 62 new cases of COVID-19 and 3 new deaths, bringing the total number of infected to 44,845 and total deaths to 1,175. The number of recoveries in one day is 32, with a total of 40,121 recoveries and 3,549 active cases (an increase of 27 in one day).
Furthermore, according to the website's data, Armenia is currently ranked 15th in terms of COVID-19 infection rates per 1 million population, trailing behind the United States, Brazil, Peru, Chile, Bahrain, Qatar, French Guiana, San Marino, Kuwait, Oman, Panama, Aruba, the Maldives, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
