Amulsar Will Be Exploited If Unmanageable Risks Are Excluded, and Vice Versa – Edward Aghajanyan

The Prime Minister has repeatedly stated that Amulsar will be exploited if it is found that there are no unmanageable risks, and it will not be exploited if it is determined that it contains unmanageable environmental risks. The government will express its position based on this principle.

This was announced by the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, Edward Aghajanyan, during the 'Facebook Briefing' program on Azatutyun, adding that investigative bodies will soon provide their evaluation regarding the expert assessment from 'Ellard.'

Aghajanyan noted that he does not agree with the observations that the government does not listen to environmentalists. 'I have participated in numerous discussions with those same users asking questions. I have repeatedly stated that the government is always open to discussions with all parties. There are two interested parties, in addition to environmentalists, there are also miners. We understand the interests and concerns of all parties, and the government will make decisions based on the principle I mentioned,' said the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister.
