Donald Trump Impressed by Vladimir Putin's Leadership Style

Trump has been impressed by Russian President Vladimir Putin's leadership style, claims Michael Cohen, former attorney of President Donald Trump, in his published memoirs, according to The Washington Post.

“The reason Trump is impressed by Putin is simpler than many critics think. Trump admires that the Russian president has taken an entire country under his control and runs it like his own company, just as Trump himself has run the 'Trump Organization,'” Cohen noted.

According to his theory, during the 2016 election campaign, Trump mistakenly considered Putin to be the richest man in the world, as he highly values money.

Cohen also addressed the theory regarding the current U.S. president’s dealings with Moscow before his election, noting that it was not a conspiracy, but rather that at that moment, the interests of Russia and the U.S. aligned. “In 2016, there was an alignment of interests in the sense that every effort was made to prevent Hillary Clinton from being elected to the presidency of the United States,” Cohen wrote.
