VIDEO: Turkey Launches Its First domestically Produced Rocket Into Space
Turkey has successfully launched its first domestically produced carrier rocket into orbit as part of the MUFS project. The program has been in development since 2018 by ROKETSAN, with support from the Ministry of Defense Industry.
The rocket reached an altitude of 130 km, successfully crossing the Kármán line, which is conventionally recognized as the boundary of space at 100 km above sea level. President Erdoğan shared an image of the satellite on his Twitter account.
The MUFS project aims to be completed by 2025, with specialists tasked with creating a carrier rocket capable of delivering a 100 kg satellite into space.
