Explosion in Central Tbilisi: One Casualty

An explosion has occurred in central Tbilisi, near the Great Philharmonic Concert Hall. According to Sputnik Georgia, there are reported injuries. Preliminary reports indicate that a gas cylinder exploded in the vicinity where renovations were taking place.

When emergency responders arrived at the scene, one person had already been confirmed dead. Two others were injured, one of whom was transported to Aladashvili Clinic.

Rescue teams and police personnel have reached the site, and currently, Merab Kostava Street is closed off.
