Trend of Declining Coronavirus Cases Continues: Less than 200 Cases for 6 Consecutive Days – Nikol Pashinyan

We can say that, according to last week's data, the trend of declining cases, which had stalled, seems to be continuing again. This is exclusively due to the quality of compliance with anti-epidemic regulations, which depends on the individual behavior of each of us. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the start of the regular Government session.

“For practically 6 days, we have had a daily number of cases below 200, though yesterday’s figure was slightly higher at 203 from 1938 tests. We must do everything possible to maintain a large volume of testing,” he said, emphasizing the importance of continued adherence to anti-epidemic rules.

“We need to be maximally diligent in complying with the anti-epidemic rules, especially as we have experienced some relaxation of those rules, and it is easier to comply with them than it was before,” noted Pashinyan.

He also referred to the partial collapse of a building at 1 Rainisi Street in Yerevan yesterday, stating that the incident occurred due to a gas leak. “A criminal case has been initiated, and all circumstances will be clarified. I want to draw the attention of our fellow citizens to this issue, asking each of us to pay special attention to the rules of natural gas usage.”

According to him, all citizens deprived of their homes are being provided with temporary accommodation. “They will stay in a hotel for a week until further issues are resolved. Several families have expressed a desire to settle elsewhere. This issue is on the Government and Yerevan Municipality's agenda, and we will soon determine our further actions,” the Prime Minister stated.
