Accident on Spitak-Gyumri Highway Results in Fatality

On August 26, at 21:29, the Regional Crisis Management Center received a report of an accident on the 21st kilometer of the Spitak-Gyumri highway. There were reported injuries.

A firefighting rescue unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Lori Regional Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene. It was discovered that a collision occurred between a "VAZ 21-09" (driven by Rafik K., born in 1997) and a "Mercedes" (driven by Rudik Y., born in 1957). Following the collision, the "VAZ 21-09" veered off the roadway and overturned; Rafik K. died at the scene.

The rescuers brought Rafik K.'s body closer to the ambulance, deactivated the vehicle, and closed the gas tank valve.
