Third Citizen Rescued from Rubble Has Died: Felix Tsolakyan

The third victim has been recovered from the rubble, unfortunately, had already passed away. This was stated by the Minister of Emergency Situations, Felix Tsolakyan, during a conversation with reporters today.

Earlier, the minister had reported that a 56-year-old man was trapped under the debris. “I extend my condolences to the relatives of the deceased. The rescuers have just transported him in an ambulance. We had the phone number. The rescuers were calling to determine the exact location. To be honest, it was quite far from the phone. They found the phone first, then him,” Tsolakyan said.

When asked if there are any other victims, Tsolakyan responded: “According to our preliminary information, we always say preliminary, because we cannot have a complete picture of how many people were in that apartment. What we were able to verify through neighbors and residents, this should be it.”

Regarding the earthquake resistance of the other sections of the building, the minister informed that Armen Ghulyan, who is acting as the head of the Urban Development Committee, is currently in the building.
