We Will Ensure That Mask Wearing Does Not Last Long, Says Minister
“Children will spend less time at school compared to last year. In elementary school, it will be up to 3 hours, in middle school – 4 to 5 hours, and in high school – up to 5 to 6 hours. When we are compiling the schedules, we will certainly discuss this. We will ensure that mask wearing does not last long,” said Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arayik Harutyunyan during a Facebook live stream.
“We are monitoring the situation and, in turn, making proposals regarding the loosening or strengthening of the rules. I want to tell parents and teachers that along with the tension, the rules will also be relaxed, and we might find ourselves in a situation where we announce new guidelines every week to ease the rules,” he added.
According to Harutyunyan, the disdain some people and parents have for these rules can create serious problems in schools. “This disdain for the rules is the same as, for example, having a nonchalant attitude towards the selection of weapons, tactics, and others during wartime, which can create serious issues in schools,” the minister noted.
