Passenger Electric Train Carrying Russian Delegates Collides with Mercedes in Sevan

On August 26th, yet another collision between an electric train and a car occurred in the Gegharkunik region. According to SHAMSHYAN.com, around 11:00 AM, on the highway from the Tsamakaberd neighborhood of Sevan City towards Yerevan-Ijevan, an electric train collided with a Mercedes car near the ‘Harsnakar’ restaurant complex.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries according to preliminary information. Investigations are underway regarding the incident. The electric train is registered under the South Caucasus Railway company, and it was carrying a large number of Russian delegates who had arrived from Russia to tour the area. Following the accident, they had to wait for approximately three hours until the incident was resolved.
