OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Plan to Visit Baku and Yerevan: Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated today during a meeting with reporters that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are planning to visit the region.

“The co-chairs are scheduled to visit the region next month, specifically Baku and Yerevan, at least that was the plan. The next meeting was also being prepared between the foreign ministers of the two countries,” he said.

According to Lavrov, it is necessary to stabilize the situation, including stopping incidents not only in the Nagorno-Karabakh region but also along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. “I want to hope that what happened in July will not be repeated, and we will begin to contribute to this together with other interested countries, including Azerbaijan and Armenia,” the Russian Foreign Minister emphasized.
