Gagik Khachatryan Faces Musculoskeletal Issues and Pain, Defender Says
The court session regarding the case of former head of the State Revenue Committee and former finance minister Gagik Khachatryan continues. The defense expresses dissatisfaction, citing that there are certain documents and materials that are known only to the prosecution.
Defense attorney Yerem Sargsyan noted that Gagik Khachatryan has musculoskeletal issues and suffers from chronic pain.
“Out of a total of 120 volumes of materials, we were provided with only 37 volumes, and we were told to ‘listen.’ We requested two days to review each volume. They claimed that we have an intention to drag out the deadlines. It seems that these documents were deliberately not provided to us, as these volumes appear to be more in number,” he stated.
Sargsyan mentioned that the deadline expired on August 6, and they chose any deadline they wanted and told us to be satisfied with 15 days.
In the attorney's assessment, everything is being done to keep Gagik Khachatryan in custody. He announced that they submitted a motion to change the preventive measure regarding Khachatryan.
It should be noted that Gagik Khachatryan was not present at today’s court session due to health issues.
