From September 15, Everyone Will Go to School Except First Graders, Says Deputy Minister
The educational process will commence on September 15, except for first graders, who will start on September 14. This was stated today, August 26, during a meeting with journalists by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Zhanna Andreasian.
According to her, only one person may accompany first graders, considering the overall epidemiological situation. "A responsible person for coronavirus control has been appointed in every school. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the rules. The school principal will serve as the official responsible person," she noted.
Andreasian added that all preparatory work must be completed before the start of the classes, such as markings and other arrangements.
The deputy minister also emphasized the importance of involving school nurses and having the necessary protective measures and disinfectants available. The schools will cover the necessary expenses from their savings; however, there will also be additional state funds, ensuring that schools are equipped with all necessary supplies.
Andreasian also discussed the organization of movement and markings, stressing the need to minimize contact intensity. "This includes the use of all school entrances and the separation of those entrances for classrooms, depending on their location relative to the classroom."
