Before the Start of the School Year, Teachers Will Be Tested: No Cost for Them or Schools, Says Deputy Minister of Education

During the national parents' meeting, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Zhanna Andreasyan stated that there are misunderstandings regarding the established rules and provisions in schools, one of which pertains to notebooks. “It is a misconception, for example, regarding the provision about the use of notebooks: they will, of course, be used. Only thematic assignments will be conducted on paper,” she clarified.

Regarding the testing of teachers, these will take place in polyclinics and will not incur any cost for schools and teachers, as they will be organized by the Ministry of Health. According to the deputy minister, the process will be implemented before the start of the school year.

“In fact, we will be able to exclude those teachers and staff from entering schools who are currently infected. From the outset, we will be able to ensure the uninterrupted continuation of education,” she said, noting that there will be a specific policy for testing in the future.
