‘Zhoghovourd’: The Emergency Situation Committee Demands a Detailed Report from Arsen Torosyan

‘Zhoghovourd’ newspaper reports: According to information obtained by ‘Zhoghovourd’, the Emergency Situation Committee has requested a detailed report from Armenia’s Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan to clarify how he has spent the funds collected for coronavirus prevention, what actions have been taken, and what work has been accomplished. The committee has specifically asked for everything to be described in detail due to doubts about the effectiveness of the expenditures.

‘Zhoghovourd’ had already reported on July 11 that the Ministry of Health seems to be hiding information regarding how much money has been spent on each quarantined citizen, how much money hotels have received, and so on. In response to our inquiry, they only noted that as of June 1, the expenses amounted to 687 million 518 thousand drams, and the monthly compensation for organizers of the isolation process ranged from 150,000 to 300,000 drams, but no further details were provided.
