Tigran Abrahamyan on the Dangerous Formulations in Andranik Kocharyan's Interview

Director of the Analytical Center "Henaket" Tigran Abrahamyan has addressed the interview of National Assembly Member Andranik Kocharyan in a Facebook post.

"The Chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Defense and Security has clearly cast doubt on the ability of conscript soldiers to repel the enemy when necessary and ensure the security of Armenia and Artsakh in a well-known interview given to H1. This was articulated both directly and indirectly in the interview. This was said in the context of a comparison between contract and conscript military service. I am confident that the implications of this statement are well understood within the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces. While several other problematic statements that target the credibility of our armed forces were made in the aforementioned interview, the formulations related to conscript military service were the most dangerous in this case," he wrote.
