The First Two Repatriated Families Arrive in Artsakh from Lebanon, Says President

On August 25, the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, held a working consultation dedicated to support programs for the Lebanese Armenian community. This information was reported by the press service of the President of Artsakh.

The meeting featured a presentation by Rudik Hystununts, head of the working group organizing and coordinating material aid to the Armenian community in Lebanon, who is also the President’s chief advisor and special envoy.

According to Hystununts, besides the 25 million AMD allocated recently from the state budget's reserve fund, more than 17 million AMD has been collected in the off-budget humanitarian assistance account of the Artsakh government, and various initiatives are being implemented to increase this amount.

He also informed that the first two repatriated families from Lebanon have arrived in Artsakh, with all necessary conditions created for their accommodation.

President Harutyunyan emphasized that while it is extremely important to maintain the integrity of the Lebanese Armenian community as a well-established diasporic center—something the Artsakh government supports to the best of its abilities—all compatriots wishing to relocate will be welcomed and provided with housing, employment, and other social guarantees.
