The Competitions Announced by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Did Not Take Place Due to Lack of Participants: Nikol Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page: “You probably remember that I had given instructions at a government meeting to restore a number of sculptural works adjacent to the highways of Armenia. For the restoration of two of them—the 'Road Builders' and 'Echo' sculptures located on the Sevan-Yerevan highway—and the improvement of surrounding areas, the government allocated 176 million and 76 million drams, respectively, back in spring.

In June and July, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports announced public competitions to select a company for the restoration works. Both competitions failed due to a lack of participants. Yesterday, the ministry announced a third competition. We hope that this time there will be participants and winners, resolving not only a cultural issue but also an economic one, as this capital investment also implies new job opportunities.”
