The newly appointed Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has announced topics to be discussed during his first visit to Moscow in that capacity, with a primary focus on the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

In an interview with TASS, the Azerbaijani minister stated that the prospects for resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be a key point of discussion during his meeting with Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov. Furthermore, Bayramov emphasized the subject of Russian arms supplies to Armenia.

Regarding a potential meeting with Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Bayramov noted that the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group aim to organize such a meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan this autumn. “We expect consistent steps from the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, including from Russia, to advance the peace process within the framework of constructive and meaningful negotiations,” the Azerbaijani minister stated.
