Tonoyan and Shugaev Discuss Armenian-Russian Military-Technical Cooperation
The Minister of Defense of Armenia, David Tonoyan, met with Dmitry Shugaev, director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia, and Alexander Mikheev, director of the Russian state-owned company "Rosoboronexport," on August 24 during the "Army-2020" International Military-Technical Forum. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Defense.
During the meeting, they discussed the progress of Armenian-Russian bilateral military-technical cooperation and future steps. The interlocutors highly valued the implementation of existing contracts and reached agreements on timelines and pathways for a number of new contracts.
It was also emphasized by both sides the importance of creating joint enterprises and organizing production involving private companies in the defense industry.
Minister David Tonoyan also visited the booth of the "Tactical Missile Weapons" company, familiarizing himself with the latest produced systems and samples of long-range and precision missiles. Afterwards, the delegation from the Ministry of Defense discussed cooperation-related issues with the company’s management.
David Tonoyan made visits to several other companies cooperating with the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
