Patients Who Died from Coronavirus Had Underlying Chronic Diseases

As of August 24 at 11:00 AM, a total of 42,825 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed, of which 36,049 have recovered, and 854 have resulted in death. Currently, 5,666 patients are receiving treatment for the virus. A total of 195,574 tests have been conducted. This information has been reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Thus, we have confirmed 33 new cases of COVID-19 and 58 recoveries. The deceased patients were both 72 (female) and 71 (female) years old. They had underlying chronic diseases.

On the previous day, one death was recorded where the patient tested positive for the coronavirus, but the cause of death was due to another illness. The total number of such cases is 256.
