Command-Staff Exercises Launched with the Troops Deployed in the Southeast Direction of Armenia
According to the 2020 training plan of the Armed Forces of Armenia, command-staff exercises have started today at 05:00 AM under the leadership of the Chief of the General Staff, with military formations and units deployed in the southeast direction of Armenia.
This was reported by Shushan Stepanyan, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, on her Facebook page.
The purpose of the exercises is to check the combat readiness of the troops and to take measures for reducing the schedules of event implementations, to verify and improve the capabilities of the command structures during planning and conducting operations, simulate operational-tactical scenarios of repelling potential aggression from the adversary and destroying its strike formations, as well as to coordinate the issues of interaction between the military formations and the assigned forces and assets for support in that direction.
