Army-2020: Russia Signs Agreements with Armenia, Iran, Abkhazia, and Central African Republic

Within the framework of the "Army 2020" International Military-Technical Forum, Russian Defense Minister General Sergei Shoigu held four bilateral meetings with the defense ministers of Abkhazia, Armenia, Iran, and the Central African Republic.

According to EADaily, intergovernmental agreements on military cooperation were signed as a result of these meetings. The Russian minister also met with representatives from China, India, and Morocco to discuss issues related to military-technical cooperation with Russia.

A meeting chaired by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov included representatives from 92 countries. Leaders from governmental authorities, scientific organizations, and leading industrial enterprises were also present at the event.

An exhibition of weaponry and military equipment samples was organized for foreign delegations. At the "Army-2020" event, the latest and promising samples of weaponry and military technology were showcased, including the T-14 "Armata," T-90M, T-80BV tanks, the BMPT-72 tank support vehicle, the BMP T-15 infantry fighting vehicle, among others.
