Operations of 10 Hotels in Tsaghkadzor and Erebuni Administrative District Suspended
The Health and Labor Inspection Agency of Armenia has suspended operations at 10 hotels in Tsaghkadzor for 24 hours. According to the agency’s Western Territorial Center, access to individuals has been prohibited at the branches of the following operators: "Artat Group" LLC, "New Horizon Group INC" Tsaghkadzor Main Sports Complex, "Elegant Resort" LLC, "Hightour" LLC, "Susanna Sokhakyan" Individual Entrepreneur, "Edmond Khachatryan" Individual Entrepreneur, "Bagratyan Manvel" Individual Entrepreneur, "Norayr Virabyan" Individual Entrepreneur, "Sialia" LLC, and "Vagharch and Sons Concern" LLC.
This was reported by the Government of Armenia. Concurrently, the Territorial Center of the Health and Labor Inspection Agency in Yerevan has also suspended the activities of the Erebuni administrative district (municipality) for 24 hours. Violations of safety regulations established by the authorities were recorded during the previous inspection visit by the inspection body.
The agency has continued intensified inspection visits throughout the republic. Given the active tourist season, special attention is given to hotels and resorts. The professional observations by the agency indicate that violations of safety regulations aimed at preventing the spread of the pandemic often occur among these operators. Based on these observations, the operations of dozens of hotels have been temporarily prohibited in Tsaghkadzor.
During this summer period, a significant flow of citizens is also observed in swimming pools. The authorities have established special safety regulations for these facilities, and adherence to them is also under scrutiny. Ensuring compliance with established norms is crucial as neglecting them significantly increases the risk of infection, especially among these operators.
The Health and Labor Inspection Agency warns that stricter disciplinary measures will be enforced in cases of repeated violations. Surprise inspections will continue in an intensified mode.
