225 New Cases of Coronavirus Confirmed in Armenia

As of August 9, Armenia has confirmed 225 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infected individuals to 40,410.

The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Armenian Ministry of Health reports that in one day, 6 citizens have died as a result of the virus, increasing the death toll to 791. In the past day, there were no recorded deaths of patients infected with coronavirus due to other illnesses.

As of August 9, the number of deaths from this virus stands at 228. Overall, 6 people died in a single day, making the total number of deaths 1,019.

In the last day, 125 individuals have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 32,520. Currently, there are 6,871 individuals receiving treatment, which has decreased by 94 during the past day.

A total of 1,576 tests were conducted in one day, with a cumulative total of 176,014 tests performed to date.

Regarding the deaths reported, the deceased patients were aged 54 (female), 80 (female), 70 (male), 68 (male), 89 (male), and 59 (male). Except for the last individual, the others had accompanying chronic illnesses.
