Lidian to Remove Container Houses in the Coming Hours, Arman Babajanyan
Following the intense events surrounding Amulsar in recent days, including three days of protests and prolonged negotiations, an agreement has finally been reached for the company ‘Lidian Armenia’ to remove the container houses that they had installed in the community area instead of the guard cabins of Amulsar.
This information was shared by MP Arman Babajanyan on his Facebook page. He stated, 'The action taken by Lidian was nothing short of self-justice, as the old cabins were removed and new ones were surreptitiously placed at night. Thus, at this stage, Lidian will eliminate the consequences of that self-justice, and subsequently, most likely, negotiations will take place regarding the relocation of Amulsar's guards' container houses to their original locations or to nearby areas.'
He emphasized that 'the dismantling of Lidian’s containers should be considered an important step, as it curtails the arrogant behavior and actions displayed by that company, which obtained the license to exploit the Amulsar mine through unlawful means—both through the illegal actions of its contracted security service representatives, as well as through increasingly accusatory statements.' He believes that this step essentially legitimizes the demands of the guardians of Amulsar and the citizens who are conducting a just and honest struggle in protest, which must undoubtedly continue and contribute to the realization of the slogan upon which the entire philosophy of the struggle is built: Amulsar will remain a mountain.'
