We Do Not See a Real Conflict of Interests Here, as He or His Family Members Are Not Participants in the Given LLC. Alina Nikoghosyan
AN spokesperson Alina Nikoghosyan has addressed the apparent case of a conflict of interest concerning Health Minister Arsen Torosyan, which was raised by the Anti-Corruption Commission.
"We do not see a real conflict of interests here, as he or his family members are not participants in the given LLC, nor have they received any other property benefits due to contracts signed with the ministry. The conflict of interests is only apparent. Those contracts are not for grants or donations to organizations, but rather they are contracts for the provision of medical services within the framework of state orders, under which many citizens of Armenia entitled to such services receive medical care. I also want to inform that the procedure for placing state orders in organizations providing medical services is the same for all organizations offering such services. The minister or his representative will present his arguments to the commission if necessary," she stated.
