Russian Airline Cancels Flights to Closed Countries

The Russian airline Aeroflot has announced the cancellation of regular flights to a number of countries, including Armenia, in August due to the pandemic caused by a new strain of the coronavirus, as these countries have not yet reopened their borders.

According to the airline's statement, tickets purchased before May 1 for flights scheduled before August 31 can be exchanged for vouchers or refunds. The cancellations affect nearly 90 cities in various countries, both near and far abroad, including European and Asian countries, as well as flights to the United States. Azerbaijan, a neighbor of Armenia, is included in the list.

The restrictions will remain in place until August 31. Previously, Russia had resumed air traffic with three countries: the United Kingdom, Turkey, and Tanzania.
