People Resort to Extreme Methods from Desperate Situations: Edmon Marukyan

The head of the "Light Armenia" parliamentary faction, Edmon Marukyan, addressed the extraordinary incident that took place in Vanadzor on his Facebook page.

"A 44-year-old man entered the 'Varks.am' and 'Mogo' credit organizations in Vanadzor and threw a burning bottle filled with diesel fuel inside before fleeing. People are resorting to such extreme and condemnable methods out of desperate situations. It is clear that no employee of the credit organization is to blame for today's crisis. On the other hand, the state must take effective measures to lift people out of this situation. For example, we suggested providing direct financial assistance to hundreds of thousands of needy families, as well as implementing effective mechanisms for credit holidays, and granting tax holidays instead of penalties and fines. In response to all our proposals, we faced hooligan attacks, both physically and in virtual media spaces," he remarked.
