Families Affected by Beirut Explosion to Receive Interest-Free Loans

The Central Bank of Lebanon has announced that residents of Beirut who lost their homes due to the explosion will be eligible for interest-free loans for up to five years. Approximately 300,000 people have been left homeless as a result of the blast. This figure only accounts for residential buildings, while administrative structures have also been severely damaged or completely destroyed.

Considering the losses to businesses, the initial estimation of the damage by local authorities in Beirut stands at $15 billion.
