Are You Against or In Favor of the Exploitation of the Amulsar Mine? Anna Hakobyan Responds to User's Question

Today, Anna Hakobyan, the wife of the Prime Minister of Armenia, addressed the Amulsar issue during a live broadcast on Azatutyun radio. In response to a Facebook user's question about whether she is against or in favor of the exploitation of the mine, Hakobyan said:

“I regret that I have to disappoint you, but I cannot express an opinion on this issue given my position and status, and considering the acute nature of the question. Additionally, due to the political context underlying this issue, it would be appropriate for me to refrain from making any comments.”

Commenting on the recent events occurring at the Amulsar site, including protests and the arrest of demonstrators, the Prime Minister's wife stated: “I was not aware of the fact of arrests; I just heard about it. I do not know under what circumstances that happened, but if I am not mistaken, there is currently a state of emergency in the country, which implies restrictions on gatherings and demonstrations.”
