All Channels for Citizens to Express Protest Are Blocked and Ineffective: Marukyan

The leader of the LHK faction, Edmon Marukyan, posted on his Facebook page: "Over the past two years, new protocols for delivering the voice of citizen protest have not been established, and existing procedures are either deemed illegal due to the state of emergency or perceived by the authorities as 'feeding the mill of the former regime,' or otherwise fail to make citizens' demands heard. Similarly, the parliamentary mechanisms for conveying citizen dissatisfaction are successfully neutralized or undermined by the ruling power.

Do not ignore the voice of people’s protest, so we do not find ourselves in an irreparable situation. The expression of protest against public policies is an inalienable right of every member of society. If you remember, the previous regime also characterized all manifestations of citizen protest as anti-state, arguing that 'the enemy sees it and rejoices.' This is not the right path. We have already seen the consequences of this. Listen to the people."
