People's Party Decides to Summon Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports with Accumulated Questions

According to the reports by the "People's" newspaper, on August 6, the "My Step" faction of the National Assembly decided to hold a meeting with the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Araik Harutyunyan. Sources indicate that there are numerous questions accumulated within the faction that lawmakers are expected to direct to the minister and hear his responses on that day.

It has been reported that the accumulation of these questions is due to recent changes in the sector, which have even led to protests by teachers, as well as various criticisms regarding the newly implemented educational standards. Additionally, lawmakers are preparing to address the questions arising from the grievances that have accumulated over the months.

It should be noted that a discussion was recently held once again in the parliament. The National Assembly's committee on education, science, culture, sports, diaspora, and youth issues conducted a discussion on the problems in the sector, but the minister did not attend, which caused dissatisfaction among the lawmakers. This is precisely the reason why this time the faction has decided to forcibly summon Araik Harutyunyan and direct all questions to him in a closed session.
