300 Citizens in Serious Condition, 68 in Critical State, 24 on Ventilators: Torosyan
“We are trying to tighten the anti-epidemic regulations. Now, if we ask ourselves what we should do with 288 new cases, our answer must be the same: once again, strengthen compliance with the rules. Of course, 288 is lower than 700, but it remains very high on a per capita basis. However, we must note that all our efforts are yielding results, and we have a stabilizing situation that is heading in a positive direction,” said Health Minister Arsen Torosyan during a briefing.
According to him, it seems that we are seeing a decrease of 50-100 cases weekly. “And if we can maintain this situation, then yes, we have a real chance; if not to completely eliminate new coronavirus cases, at least it won't be considered a public health issue at that moment. If I may remind, I always point out that on our worst days we had about 650 citizens in serious and critical condition. That number has fluctuated around 350 in recent days. We have 300 citizens in serious condition and 68 in critical condition, with 24 citizens connected to ventilators.”
