Video: Has Arthur Meshchyan Been Dismissed? Hayk Marutyan Clarifies

Today, journalists asked Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan about the city’s chief architect Arthur Meshchyan, as reports spread in the media that he had been dismissed from his position.

“Mr. Meshchyan initially stated that he was coming for a two-year term, and that period is approaching its end. He is very respected by me, and he remains within his promised timeframe. He originally said he was coming for two years, and it is natural that he will leave. He is serving in his position today, and when the time comes, we will make an announcement,” he noted.
