Decision Made to Extend State of Emergency for Another Month: Tigran Avinyan
The Emergency Situation Command was focused on developing management programs in various sectors. With the academic year approaching, priority attention has been directed towards general and higher education sectors. We already have developed models on how to open educational institutions and universities depending on the pandemic situation. The first discussion was held today, and we will present the final program by August 10. Such program models have also been developed for other sectors.
This was recently announced by the head of the command, Tigran Avinyan.
“A decision has been made to extend the state of emergency for another month. Despite this, there will be significant changes in the certain restrictions set by the state of emergency. In particular, the possibilities for foreign citizens to enter the country, certain restrictions on the export of goods, and the holding of public gatherings will be reviewed. This entire package of issues, depending on the pandemic situation, will allow us to reconsider all restrictions stipulated in the government decision draft established by the state of emergency. With that draft, we will have the opportunity to improve certain restrictions by August 15,” Avinyan stated.
“Perhaps this will be the last extension of the state of emergency, after which we will discuss changes to the laws related to emergency situations in the National Assembly. If we adhere to the rules and the pandemic situation continues to show positive trends, we will gradually return to normal life,” he added.
