Rapid Response Team Deployed to Jermuk City by the Human Rights Defender
Following reports of citizens being detained in Amulsar, a rapid response team has been deployed to Jermuk City under the instructions of the Human Rights Defender. This information has been disclosed by the Office of the Human Rights Defender.
During their visit, representatives of the Defender will hold private conversations with the detained individuals, assess the status of their rights protection, and review the grounds for their detention.
Since early morning, the Human Rights Defender has been monitoring the developments surrounding the exploitation of the Amulsar mine. The Defender's representatives are in constant contact with the Police, the Jermuk city hall, and other local self-government bodies, as well as conducting ongoing monitoring of the protests.
The Human Rights Defender continues to focus on the events related to the operation of the Amulsar mine within the limits of their jurisdiction.
