Working Group to Investigate Deaths of Soldiers in Non-Combat Conditions

The Armenian government will establish a working group to examine the criminal cases related to the deaths of soldiers that occurred in non-combat situations. This decision was signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The purpose of the working group's activities is to investigate the criminal cases arising from the deaths of soldiers who served in the Armenian Armed Forces under non-combat conditions. For each of these cases, the working group will compile and present a consultative conclusion to the Prime Minister of Armenia.

The working group will review the criminal cases concerning the deaths of soldiers Tigran Sureni Ohanyan, Levon Arseni Torosyan, Valerik Azati Muradyan, Arthur Sumbati Ghazaryan, Arman Hovsepi Muradyan, Arsen Arturi Mkhitaryan, Andranik Armeni Mkrtchyan, and Emir Gagik Matevosyan.

Members of the commission will include Prime Minister Pashinyan's assistant Anna Vardapetyan, lawyers Arayik Papikyan, Davit Gyurjyan, Zarouhi Mejlumyan, specialist Lala Begoyan from the legal department of the Prime Minister's Office, and Petik Mkrtchyan, head of the research and program-methodological work organization division at the Academy of Justice.
