Violations of Passenger Transport Capacity Discovered
On August 3, specialists from the Ministry of Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety Inspection, in collaboration with the traffic police of Armenia, continued enhanced monitoring activities in the administrative districts of Kentron, Davtashen, and Nor Nork in Yerevan to ensure compliance with safety regulations in public transport.
According to information from the Armenian government, no violations were discovered in passenger taxi vehicles during checks conducted at temporary checkpoints established by the traffic police on Baghramyan Avenue, in Abovyan Park, on Yeghvard Highway, and in Nor Nork's 1st district.
However, once again, violations involving the transportation of more passengers than allowed were identified in vehicles operating on regular routes, similar to recent days.
Based on recorded violations, administrative violation reports were prepared. Specialists in transportation safety from the Ministry of Urban Development have been conducting extensive daily awareness-raising and explanatory work among drivers and passengers, as well as providing corrective instructions in cases of certain deficiencies.
Monitoring activities continue throughout the territory of Armenia.
