Charter Flights from Several Countries to Yerevan and Gyumri Upcoming
Charter flights will soon be conducted from the United States, Belarus, the United Arab Emirates, Georgia, Lebanon, and various cities in the Russian Federation to Yerevan and Gyumri, with return flights available. These flights will offer an opportunity for Armenian citizens and individuals with a right to enter Armenia to return home.
The official Facebook page of the Armenian Embassy in the Russian Federation reports the following upcoming flights:
- Moscow-Yerevan on 04.08.2020 from Domodedovo Airport by Red Wings (departure at 18:00)
- Moscow-Gyumri on 05.08.2020 from Domodedovo Airport by Nord Star (departure at 11:00)
- Moscow-Yerevan on 06.08.2020 from Domodedovo Airport by Red Wings (departure at 18:00)
- Moscow-Yerevan on 08.08.2020 from Domodedovo Airport by Nord Star (departure at 10:00)
Tickets for these flights can be purchased at ticket offices N 85 and N 94 at Domodedovo Airport starting from July 31. The ticket office hours are from 10:00 to 21:00. The ticket price is 14,700 rubles. For all inquiries regarding the flights, individuals should contact the respective airlines.
According to information provided to the embassy by Aircompany Armenia, the following charter flights will also be conducted:
- Moscow-Yerevan on 07.08.2020 from Vnukovo Airport at 12:30
- Kaluga-Yerevan on 10.08.2020 from Kaluga International Airport at 10:30
- Moscow-Yerevan on 11.08.2020 from Vnukovo Airport at 12:30
Tickets for these flights can be purchased through the company's website (armeniafly.com) or at the company's Yerevan office (address: V. Sargsyan 10).
On August 15 and 17, charter flights will be conducted along the Yerevan-Los Angeles-Yerevan route. The Yerevan-Los Angeles flight will be available for travelers with B1/B2 tourist visas, immigrant visa holders, U.S. citizens, and those holding permanent residency in the United States (Green Card). The Los Angeles-Yerevan flight is open to Armenian citizens and foreigners with permanent residence permits in Armenia, as well as foreign citizens who have family members residing in Armenia (spouse, parent, child).
These flights will be operated by IcelandAir using high-class Boeing 767 aircraft, which are equipped with both economy and business class seats. The Yerevan-Los Angeles flight will make a technical stop in Belgrade, during which all passengers will need to undergo TSA security checks. This check is expected to take 3 hours. The Los Angeles-Yerevan flight will have a technical stop in Reykjavik for refueling, which will last 1 hour, and passengers will remain on the plane.
The flights are being organized through the cooperation of the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, the Honorary Consulate of Iceland in Armenia, Narek Mkrtchyan, member of the Armenian-Icelandic Parliamentary Friendship Group, the Armenian Consulate General in Los Angeles, and the companies 'Festa Avia' LLC and 'Kross Group' LLC.
Yerevan's Zvartnots International Airport's official website reports that on August 4, flights will also be conducted from Sharja (ABY 245 at 01:05), Minsk (B2 733 at 02:45), Tbilisi (NGT 725 at 12:30), and Beirut (ME 275 at 16:45).
Since March 15, over 8,000 Armenian citizens have been transferred from various countries to Armenia due to the coronavirus-related situation, who were unable to return home.
The government decided on July 13 to extend the state of emergency declared on March 16, which had been extended until July 13, for another 30 days, until August 13 at 17:00.
