Video: Fire at Former 'Praga' Hotel Building in Yerevan

A fire has erupted in an apartment on the 3rd floor of the former 'Praga' hotel building in Yerevan. This information was reported to auroranews.am by a listener who also provided footage of the incident.

The authorities have indicated that employees from the Ministry of Emergency Situations are on site.

We contacted the National Crisis Management Center, where they confirmed the report, stating that the alert had been received. Eight fire-fighting teams from the Yerevan Fire and Rescue Department, two aerial ladders, a response team from the special rescue operations division, and an instructor from the psychological support division have been dispatched to the scene.

The fire was contained by 5:56 PM. The Minister of Emergency Situations Felix Tsolakyan is present at the site.
